Summary

Accounting Assistant
Job Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Location: Chico, CA (onsite position)
Starting Pay: $20.50/hr.
Reports To: Financial Controller

What you’ll do

Process Accounts Payable: index vendor invoices in document management system and coordinate approvals, code and post vendor invoices and process weekly vendor checks, maintain vendor account information and resolve invoice discrepancies
Process Account Receivable: record check deposits and wire payments to client accounts, follow up with clients regarding unpaid invoices
Assist with Monthly Close Process: code and post bank transactions and account transfers, analyze credit card receipts and prepare credit card journal, prepare overhead allocation journals

Banking / ACH Processing: process daily ACH files for employee direct deposits and client invoices, respond to payroll requests for verification of transactions clearing the bank
Reporting: prepare escheatment reporting, assist with collating documentation for annual external audits, contribute to other departmental projects / reporting as required

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience and knowledge of AR/AP fundamentals

Two (2) years of recent experience maintaining financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable (preferred)

Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Intermediate Excel skills
Strong technical skills – adaptable to new software and systems
Positive, customer-focused attitude
Ability to maintain strictest confidentiality

Preferred Skills

Payroll experience

Work Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

Variety Packer

Summary

IMMEDIATE OPENING – Sierra Nevada Brewing Company is hiring temporary production workers through Allevity Recruiting & Staffing!

Shifts Available:
Start times between 5:00am and 6:00am, with end times ranging from 1:30pm to 2:30pm.

This is a part-time position with scheduling contingent on the production needs of the brewery. Hours may vary week to week.

Must be 18+ years of age.

Key Responsibilities:

Packaging and Labeling: Accurately and efficiently pack brewery products into variety packs according to established standards and labels.
Quality Control: Inspect products for quality, ensuring that all items are in good condition and meet our quality standards.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of variety pack components and inform the supervisor when more product is necessary.
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure compliance with brewery regulations and policies.
Organization: Keep work area clean and organized to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other brewery team members to maintain a smooth production process.

Qualifications:

Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads (up to 40 lbs).
Outstanding attendance on site and the ability to work varying or rotating shifts.
Attention to detail and the ability to maintain high-quality standards.
Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
Previous experience in a packing or assembly role is a plus.
