We are actively seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join the team of a successful General Contractor known for its commitment to excellence and high-quality construction services, particularly in earthwork and underground projects. Our client’s projects include both public and private sector contracts in multiple industries. As a Project Engineer, you will assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in preparing documentation and ensuring smooth project execution from procurement to completion. Basic Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Construction Management (or equivalent industry), Civil Engineering,
• Structural Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in construction operations
• Demonstrated knowledge of scheduling, subcontract coordination, and general project administration
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills – ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels:  subcontractors, superintendents, project managers, stakeholders/owners
• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Bluebeam
• Valid drivers license and proof of insurability

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess

• Successful subcontractor relationship and management experience
• Contracts experience – an understanding of different contracts and capable of substantiating charges, managing documentation associated with payouts, etc.
• Knowledge of required permits – experienced in permit filing, monitoring, and management
• Materials ordering
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills – capable of responding to and resolving issues and questions that arise
• Comfortable discussing finances and conveying information between subcontractors and owners regarding change orders, options that may impact either party
• Underground utilities experience
