ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Allevity Employer Solutions is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our accounting team at our Chico, CA office. The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing and directing the day-to-day activities of the finance department.  This key role will analyze financial information and prepare financial reports, maintain the general ledger, perform month-end close activities, and lead a small team – offering assistance to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

What You’ll Do – Essential Responsibilities

Accounting

  • Process monthly financial close
  • Prepare and post monthly accruals and prepayments.
  • Monthly reconciliation of company bank accounts
  • Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve any unidentified balances
  • Liaise with external accountants and tax offices regarding corporation tax matters
  • Management of information requests for the annual external audit
  • Management of the Fixed Asset Register
  • Management and optimization of accounting software

 

Accounts Payable

  • Monthly reconciliation of AP to GL
  • Train and supervise accounts payable staff to ensure accurate processing of invoices and prompt resolution of queries
  • Supervise the escheatment process, ensuring due diligence standards and reporting deadlines are met

 

Accounts Receivable

  • Ensure receivables processes are executed timely and payments are made promptly


What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Five (5) years related professional experience
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP
  • Knowledge of financial management and accounting software applications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, including the use of pivot tables\
  • Ability to operate Microsoft Office Suite efficiently
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics GP and Blackline Reconciliation software is a plus
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience
  • Skill in working effectively and efficiently with co-workers in a hybrid team environment.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and colleagues
  • Contingent upon favorable and verifiable professional references

Position:        Retirement Plan Consultant Assistant
Starting Pay: $22 to $24 per hour (commensurate with experience)
Status:           Full-time, hourly, non-exempt
Location:       Chico, CA (on-site, in-office)

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Process loans and distributions
  • Interact with participants, plan sponsors, and Retirement Plan Consultants to ensure a high level of customer service while processing requests accurately and efficiently
  • Conduct client follow-up communication
  • Electronically filing client IRS From 5500 by tax deadline
  • Annual census data collection
  • Scan and save incoming documents
  • File internal documents as required and manage the appropriate archiving of historic paper documents through our external vendors
  • Print and assemble participant and client documents, as requested

 

To Be Successful You Will Need

  • Accounting experience
  • Experience responding to customer inquiries
  • Minimum of one year’s office experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • College degree in relevant field of study: Finance, Accounting, Business
  • Positive and verifiable professional references
  • Ability to successfully undergo a background investigation

Summary

IMMEDIATE OPENING – Sierra Nevada Brewing Company is hiring temporary production workers through Allevity Recruiting & Staffing!

Shifts Available:
Start times between 5:00am and 6:00am, with end times ranging from 1:30pm to 2:30pm.

This is a part-time position with scheduling contingent on the production needs of the brewery. Hours may vary week to week.

Must be 18+ years of age.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Packaging and Labeling: Accurately and efficiently pack brewery products into variety packs according to established standards and labels.

  • Quality Control: Inspect products for quality, ensuring that all items are in good condition and meet our quality standards.

  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of variety pack components and inform the supervisor when more product is necessary.

  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure compliance with brewery regulations and policies.

  • Organization: Keep work area clean and organized to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.

  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other brewery team members to maintain a smooth production process.

Qualifications:

  • Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads (up to 40 lbs).

  • Outstanding attendance on site and the ability to work varying or rotating shifts.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain high-quality standards.

  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.

  • Previous experience in a packing or assembly role is a plus.
