Our client is seeking a Payroll/Benefits Coordinator to manage payroll and employee benefits for their firm. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate weekly payroll processing for 60 employees as well as administering its employee benefits program and providing excellent service to employees regarding payroll and benefits inquiries.
This is a Direct-Hire position, starting out part time (3 days per week) and upon a successful 90-day probationary period, will become full time and offer benefits. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PAYROLL / BENEFITS COORDINATOR
Payroll Administration:
- Process and administer weekly payrolls ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal laws.
- Maintain payroll records, including timesheets, wage adjustments, deductions, and garnishments
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of payroll taxes and filings
- Prepare payroll reports for management and audit purposes
Benefits Administration:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits.
- Coordinate annual open enrollment for benefits, assisting employees with plan selections and enrollment procedures.
- Maintain and update employee benefits records in the HRIS and benefits management systems.
