How Do Recruiting and Staffing Work?

Staffing and recruiting firms—like the Recruiting and Staffing branch of Allevity—offer companies and candidates many options. So, what’s the difference between direct-hire, temporary, and temporary to hire? We’ll explain.

Direct Hire: If a company wants to hire a candidate directly,

Temporary: If the company needs to fill a role for a project or for a specific time frame, and

Temporary to hire: If the client company has long-term needs.

Here is our process:

  • Clients contact us with positions that need to be filled.
-Our recruiting strategy is to find the best candidates for our clients. We take the time to get to know our clients by doing a business analysis. Once we know what the client needs, we search for highly qualified candidates.
  • Allevity collects and narrows down applicants, then reaches out to qualified candidates.
-Using our robust database, online resources, and referral network, we begin searching. We screen candidates for required skills, experience, and cultural fit for the client’s work environment.
  • We build a 360-degree view of candidates for the position.
-Once we have narrowed down our search, Allevity conducts comprehensive behavior-based interviews, evaluation testing, and any pre-employment requirements (such as drug or background checks). Thorough reference checking is complete before we place any candidate on assignment or in a direct-hire position.
  • Placing and compensation of new employees.
-Once our employee’s hiring process is complete, they can start working for our client.  Allevity is the employer of record for all temporary and temporary-to-hire employees, and we are responsible for all payroll and payroll-related costs (such as unemployment and workers’ compensation insurance).
